Kodak Scanmate i920

When you need a quality scan and don’t want to fumble around with controls on an all in one printer, the Kodak SCANMATE i920 may be just what you are looking for. This device is perfect for travel, thanks to its smaller, compact size, and it does not have all the additional features, such as a printer or fax machine attached, as sometimes you just need to scan documents directly into a connected computer. If you are looking for a stand-alone Kodak office SCANMATE i920, this may be just what you need.

The resolution of the SCANMATE is only at 600 dots per square inch, which is rather small compared to scanners that are large and attached to printers. Of course, with such a small device, this is not unexpected. It is able to scan up to 20 pages per minute in black and white scale, and up to 15 pages per minute when using full color.

The scanner is perfect for scanning in business cards all the way up to full sized documents, although the card thickness can be no greater than 1.25 mm thick.

The Kodak i920 connects to a computer system via USB 2.0 connection, and functions only with Windows based computers running XP through 7 (Mac based computers are not supported). There are several image improvements applications that come provided with the scanner that must be installed on the computer system. This allows you to improve the resolution of the image and make up for the reduced dots per square inch found on the scanner.

In order to easily transport the Kodak scanner, the top hood is able to fold over itself, producing a far smaller device and allowing you to slide it into your bag or carry-on, without much trouble. This ensures there is always enough room for you to bring the Kodak SCANMATE along with you, no matter where you travel to or for long the trip takes place.
